About us

A Riverton firm built on fixed quotes and clean boots.

Mainline Plumbing Co. started in 2009 with one van and a simple rule: charge for the job, not the panic. 16 years later the vans have multiplied, the rule hasn't.

Our story

From one van on Canal Works Road.

Dana Whitfield completed an apprenticeship on Riverton's old clay sewers and galvanized cold-water lines — the same pipework much of the town still runs on. Dana Whitfield started Mainline in 2009after one too many jobs spent fixing what a rushed firm had "fixed" the year before.

Today the team of 4 covers repairs, drainage, hot water, and remodel plumbing across a 25 kmpatch. We stay deliberately small: every job is attended by a named plumber whose work carries the same 24-month written guarantee, and the phone is still answered by someone who can actually talk you to your stop tap.

We keep a proper workshop on Canal Works Roadwhere every job is prepped, parts are stocked for the common failures in this area's housing stock, and apprentices learn the trade the slow way — measured, tested, and tidy.

How we work

Four rules taped inside every van.

They're short enough to memorise and strict enough to matter.

Diagnose before we sell

The cheapest repair is the right one found first. Cameras, gauges, and thermal imaging before we quote — not after.

One price, in writing

A fixed quote before work starts, and a stop-and-show rule if we uncover something extra mid-job.

Leave it better than we found it

Protected floors, cleaned work areas, coordinated making-good, and a walkthrough of everything we touched.

Teach the shut-off

Every customer gets shown their stop tap and isolation valves. The best emergency call is the one that stays small.

The team

The people who'll knock on your door.

4 of us, all local. Your job sheet names the attending plumber before we set off.

Credentials

What 'licensed and insured' means here.

Vague badges help nobody. Here is exactly what stands behind our work.

  • Plumbing contractor licence PLB-000000 — registered and inspectable; ask to see the card on any visit.
  • Public liability insurance to $2 million — certificate available before work starts.
  • Gas-safe certified for gas line work — every gas job finishes with a pressure test and a written certificate.
  • 24-month written workmanship guarantee — alongside manufacturer warranties on parts and appliances we supply.

Tell us what's dripping, blocked, or cold.

Call for an honest answer in minutes — or prepare your request note and book a visit. Fixed quotes before work, guaranteed in writing after it.
