Pricing & quotes

Answers about pricing & quotes

How much does a plumber cost in Riverton?

Most standard repairs land between $90 and $260 including parts. You always get a fixed quote before work starts — the price only changes if you ask us to do more.

  • Call-out and diagnosis: from $95, credited against the repair
  • Typical fixture repairs: $90–$180
  • Drain clearing: from $140
  • Water heater repairs: from $120
Do you charge for quotes?

No. Diagnosis on site carries a call-out fee, and that fee is credited in full against any work you approve. Written quotes for planned work — repipes, remodels, heater replacements — are free.

Are there call-out fees at night or weekends?

Emergency attendance outside standard hours carries a higher call-out, always quoted on the phone before we set off. If you can safely isolate the water and wait until morning, we will tell you.

Emergencies

Answers about emergencies

What should I do before the plumber arrives?

Limit the damage first — then call. We will stay on the phone and walk you through it.

  • Close the internal stop tap (usually under the kitchen sink or where the main enters)
  • Open a cold tap to drain the pipes
  • Switch off the boiler or immersion heater
  • Keep clear of wet electrics and turn power off at the consumer unit if water is near sockets
How fast can you get to me?

Average emergency response across our service area is about 68 minutes. When you call we give you an honest arrival window and the attending plumber's name.

Workmanship & guarantee

Answers about workmanship & guarantee

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes — every repair and installation carries a written 24-month workmanship guarantee, in addition to manufacturer warranties on parts and appliances. If our work fails, we return and put it right at no cost.

Are you licensed and insured?

Mainline Plumbing Co. is a licensed plumbing contractor and carries public liability insurance to $2 million. Gas work is performed under gas-safe certified with test certificates issued on completion.

Will you tidy up afterwards?

Floors and furnishings are protected before we start, and the work area is cleaned before we leave. On bigger jobs we coordinate patching and making good so you are not left chasing trades.
